Drivers blowing the horns of their vehicles can get incredibly frustrating, especially in traffic jams where honking achieves nothing. It adds to stress, disrupts the peace, and often makes the chaos worse. The Karnataka Traffic Police have now found a solution to deal with drivers creating a nuisance on the roads.
A viral video shows traffic policemen forcing such drivers to experience the chaos they cause. The clip captures the personnel making drivers listen to the horns of the vehicles they drive in close quarters, sparking mixed reactions online.
Sharing the video, an X user wrote, “Traffic police gives a perfect treatment for honking.”

The video amassed over 19,80,000 views as several users hailed the traffic police for taking action. “What a way to teach a lesson! This is what is really needed here very much else the public do not fall in line. Good job by this Police officer which needs to be replicated all across,” a user wrote. “Very good treatment I appreciate to Karnataka traffic police I also expect the same from the Tamil Nadu traffic police,” another user commented.
“We need this treatment for those flashing high beam bright lights during night driving,” a third user reacted.
However, a section of users slammed the move, calling the police “uncivil”. “Not treating people with dignity is a trademark of Indian society. That driver probably is not civil and that policeman is obviously not civil. Everyone wants to push the others around, and there is also a hierarchy to the pushing around,” a user wrote.
“but sometimes honking is necessary because to prevent the pedestrians from accidents. Bengaluru roads are very narrow and congested, there is no footpath on most of the roads so honking will prevent the lives of the pedestrians,” another user said.
