Thousands of fans flocked to Ahmedabad in Gujarat to experience the electrifying performance by Coldplay at the Narendra Modi Stadium over the weekend. As social media remains dominated by videos from the concert, an IndiGo pilot recently turned his Ahmedabad flight into a once-in-a-lifetime experience for passengers by organising a mid-air concert.
Captain Pradeep Krishnan surprised his passengers travelling to Ahmedabad by recreating Coldplay’s iconic “A Sky Full of Stars” moment. The now-viral video showed Krishnan standing in front and speaking over the intercom. “And on a lighter note, how many of you here are going to the Coldplay concert?” he said. The flight erupted in loud cheer as excited fans—some of them who were set to attend the concert—didn’t know what was upcoming.
The captain jokingly asks if any of them had two extra tickets. A passenger raised his hand, to which Krishnan responded, “You actually do? Hello sir, nice to meet you. We’re going to be very good friends today.” As the video progressed, the cabin lights dim and passengers hold their phones with the flashlights on, recreating the band’s “A Sky Full of Stars” moment.
Sharing the video, Krishnan wrote, “What an incredible group of passengers from Pune to Ahmedabad! So much energy at 7 AM—wow!”
