India cricketer Surya Kumar Yadav has not yet played for India at the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 but a video of his has been going viral. The video, reportedly captured during the India-Australia game in Chennai, shows him eating a snack while sitting in the dugout. However, as the camera focuses on the team, Yadav stops chewing and is conscious of the camera. He is seen looking at the camera with a sideway glance.

The video generated a meme fest with food aggregator Swiggy also reacting to it. “Backbenchers eating tiffin during the 2nd period,” it wrote while sharing the video a week ago. Now, Yadav has reacted to the video as he shut up a troll who was talking about the video.

A user named Pushkar wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “Sir dugout mein baithke kya khate rehto ho, ground par jaake do chaar 6 maarke aao (Sir, why do you keep eating while sitting in the dugout, go to the ground and hit a few sixes instead).” Yadav replied to him in an epic way and said, “Order mereko nahi Swiggy pe de bhai (Don’t give an order to me brother, instead give it to Swiggy).”

Yadav’s reply has amassed more than 39,000 likes since it was posted Monday.

“This way of marketing is known as Surya marketing,” a user commented. “That’s a 6 but worth 8 runs,” said another. “Your time will come in semis and final bro …keep yourself ready to thunder on the ground,” wrote a third.

India have made a splendid start to their World Cup campaign with three wins on the trot. India beat Australia by six wickets in the opener and followed it up with an eight-wicket win over Afghanistan. Then in their third match, India decimated their arch-rivals Pakistan by seven wickets.
