Videos from the gym are often used to show the physical prowess of gym-goers but now one such video is going viral for an entirely different reason.
The clip shows a gymhead doing barbell presses while leaning on his back. A person then puts a cake on his chest which he cuts using the rod of the barbell and then proceeds to lick the cake off the barbell. The unconventional cake-cutting has garnered much attention on social media platforms.
While it got hundreds of likes, many people noted that the act of licking the cake from gym equipment is unhygienic as gym equipment is used by multiple people.
On Wednesday, an X user Prithvi (@Puneite_) posted this undated video online and wrote, “When u skip Brain day”, in a jibe at phrases used by gym rats such as “arms day”, “leg day”, etc.
Commenting in the same vein, another person remarked, “When you skip hygiene day”. Another person wrote, “He legit licked that barbell! So many people must’ve put their dirty hands on it. Yuck! 🤮”. Making an exaggerated comment, an X user wrote, “He’ll probably have the greatest diarrhoea ever known to mankind”.
Talking about viral cake-cutting moments, no one can forget Bangladesh’s iconic ‘cake cutting’ meme that went viral in 2019. Interestingly, the people in the original photo – who were employees of the Bangladeshi digital financial service Nagad – recreated the popular photo in June 2023.
