Gautam Adani has denied rumours suggesting pop icon Taylor Swift – in a first – will perform at his younger son Jeet Adani’s wedding next month. Speaking to the media at the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Tuesday, the Adani Group chairman confirmed to ANI that the wedding will take place on February 7. However, he clarified that, contrary to speculation, the event will be a simple ceremony.

“Jeet’s wedding is on the 7th of February. Our way of life is like that of common people. Jeet came to seek the blessings of the Ganga at the Mahakumbh Mela. His wedding will be very traditional, conducted in a very simple manner,” he told ANI.

When asked if celebrities would attend the wedding, Adani said, “Not at all,” emphasising that the event will be “very traditional, with only family members present.”

Social media speculation also hinted that renowned chefs from across the globe would be flown to Ahmedabad for the wedding, with reports suggesting that hundreds of luxury cars had been arranged to transport guests.

Jeet Adani, the younger son of Gautam and Priti Adani, is all set to marry Diva Shah, daughter of Jaimin Shah, a diamond trader. On the professional front, Jeet joined the Adani Group in 2019 after graduating from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.
