Elephant disable electric fence viral video: Animals never cease to amaze us with their brilliance–and one recent video making waves online is a perfect example. A clip showing an elephant expertly disabling an electric fence to pass through safely has left the internet in awe.
The video, which has racked up over 600,000 views, was shared by Indian Forest Service officer Parveen Kaswan on X. “This elephant is a master in physics,” he noted in the caption. “See how intelligently it neutralised the power fence… We also have documented many such incidents–soon a study will be published.”
In the video, the elephant approaches a wooden post holding up live wires. With impressive calmness and precision, it uses its trunk to bring the post down, causing the wires to collapse. What stands out is the next move–the elephant doesn’t just walk through. Instead, it carefully manipulates the downed pole, making sure the wires are fully neutralised before moving forward.
The clip has sparked an outpouring of admiration online, with users praising the elephant’s smart and deliberate actions. One user wrote, “Elephants have remarkable cognitive abilities.” Another added, “Elephants are intelligent animals :) my full time job doesn’t allow me to spend much time with them but this is my post early retirement plan :) give them their rightful place on earth.”
A third user commented, “Forget Artificial intelligence and machine learning. Elephantine intelligence and learning is a subject to be studied.”

This isn’t the first time elephants have shown their emotional and intellectual depth. A viral video captured a touching moment where two elephants shielded their caretaker from heavy rain, using their bodies to protect him. That heartwarming gesture only deepened people’s appreciation for the extraordinary connection between these animals and the humans who care for them.
