A video of a foreigner running shirtless in an inebriated state on Chennai roads and attempting to bite a motorcyclist has caught the internet’s attention.

In the now-viral video shared on X, the foreigner can be seen running towards a man on a bike in the Royapettah area and trying to bite him on the neck. However, police officials stop the drunk man, attempting to control him. The video was shared by a user Pramod Madhav on X with the caption: “This happened in Chennai..A foreign national reportedly in an inebriated state, running around trying to bite commuters..”

Soon after the video went viral, social media users flooded the comments’ section with their reactions with one saying, “What is this zombie behaviour.” Another user joked, “Didn’t know they were shooting the Hangover sequel in Chennai.”

“Context Details: A disturbing video surfaced from Chennai, showing a drunken foreign national causing chaos on the streets. He bit pedestrians and attacked a motorcyclist, with another foreigner aiding him. Police were called to the scene, and the Russians involved were eventually taken away,” the third user claimed.

“If an Indian had done this in London or New York, whole immigrant would have been blamed with clamours for stricter laws for tourists and immigration,” another user reacted.

Last year, a group of foreigners triggered outrage after they were found drinking and smoking at the famous Purandara Mantapa shrine in Hampi, located on the banks of the Tungabhadra river in Karnataka. Reports said no action was taken against the foreigners. However, they were warned by the local police.
