Cyclone Fengal wreaked havoc across 14 districts of Tamil Nadu, leaving over 69 lakh families––over 1.5 crore people––in destruction, according to the state government. While rescue operations are still underway in many areas, a light-hearted video of a man creating a fun boating experience in a flooded apartment complex in Chennai is winning hearts on social media.

The now-viral video, shared by an X handle @Chai_Angelic, shows the man riding a scooter with an inflatable boat tied to it. With two kids on board, the man rides the scooter across the flooded apartment complex.

“Grandfather with his grandchildren. Chennai, cyclone,” the caption read.
