Food vlogger Rajani Jain, popularly known as “Chatori Rajani,” lost her son Taran, 16, in a tragic road accident in February this year. In a new vlog, Uorfi Javed — winner of The Traitors reality show and a social media sensation — spent a day with Jain and her husband, as they opened up about their emotional journey and mental health struggles post their son’s demise.

When asked about the emotional toll the incident took on her, Jain shared that she gained weight due to depression. “I have put on a lot of weight. Because of depression, I lost vitamin B12 and gained weight,” Jain said, adding, “Some days are okay, but some days, it gets really difficult.”

“I think I have no memory of myself. He had a certain aura, and I see him when I close my eyes. I feel like either he will call me in the evening, or I’m going to his room to wake him up,” Jain said.

As the vlog continues, Javed suggests that Jain take therapy. “I don’t know. I have a lot to say, but at the end of the day, everyone is here to make money. If they see that you are on social media, then they just want to gain money and fame,” Jain responded.

However, Javed tries to persuade Jain to seek help from a good therapist. “A good therapist will always guide you,” she said.

Sharing more about her emotional journey, Jain said, “It feels like a curse. But I feel this curse has been thrown on us so that we have to live through this pain.” Javed responded to that saying, “I feel people in your life have a certain time span.”

“It all sounds easy to hear, but when you’re a mother and you lose your child, then it truly feels like a curse,” Jain replied.
