Social media users are growing increasingly tired of the bizarre food trends circulating online, and here’s another one to add to the list: butter-fried pav ice cream.

In a world where pav has been reinvented in countless ways—like the popular Bombaiyya Vada Pav, Sindhi Seyal Pav, and Pav Bhaji—a Gujarati food vlogger named Trivedi Mayur shared a video of something strange. In the clip, a pav is stuffed with a scoop of ice cream and then fried in an overwhelming amount of butter.

Trivedi, who posted the video with a caption in Gujarati, made sure to clarify that it was all in good fun. The translation of his message reads, “Video is made only for time pass, it is not available in real.” Essentially, he confirmed that this unusual creation isn’t something you’ll find at any restaurant—just a quirky experiment for entertainment.

Despite the vlogger’s clarification on the video, the video went viral with over four million views.

Responding to the video, one user commented, “Pure gujrati samaj ki taraf se me mafi mangta hu bhayo behno.” Another user said, “Extremely rare sight of a food vendor in Gujarat NOT grating Cheese on the food they serve. Extremely extremely rare. They even grate cheese in Tea & Coffee.”

A third individual wrote, “Cheese or mayo add krdo,” and another Instagram user commented, “Ye khane se Accha Bhukhi Mar jauu (I’d rather die than eat this).”
