Compassionate acts enrich human lives. When one realises the impact that can be made through one’s daily work, one’s professional life turns purposeful and driven. One such tale of a cab driver who realised that he was not just driving, but helping those in need can give you the much needed dose of inspiration.
Taking to Twitter, user Sumitm.lens shared a selfie with him and penned down the Bengaluru cab driver’s tale. The hardworking driver is the sole breadwinner for his family and he has been working relentlessly for 17 years. It was a ride request he received at night that changed the way he perceived his work. Even though he cancelled the ride owing to the distance and time, it got reassigned to him.
“When he arrived🤔, he found out it was an emergency baby delivery. Without hesitation, they rushed to the hospital. They arrived to find no doctors on duty🙏. They quickly rushed to another hospital, and made it just in time for the baby’s birth. From that moment on, the driver found purpose in his work, knowing he wasn’t just driving, but helping those in need,” Sumitm wrote. “He also shared that he believes in a surrounding power that keeps him calm and collected, even when things get tough,” he added.
The Twitter user was on his way to Bengaluru airport and was inspired by the driver’s spirit. He noted it as the “most inspiring experience” in his life.
The story won hearts online. A user commented, “kudos to the cab driver! after all no work is small or big when done with full on passion , sincerity ,dedication and a good heart!” Another user wrote, “Beautiful.”
