The internet is full of people dancing and singing inside the metro rail networks across India. Most recently, even fitness influencers have started creating content in public transports. While this amuses many people, a few complain that such videos inconvenience other commuters.

Recently, popular fitness influencer Misha Sharma (@mishaa_official_), who has over seven lakh followers on Instagram, shared a clip that showed her executing a perfect cartwheel in a busy metro.

In the video, Sharma masterfully lands on her feet after making a full 360-degree flip. This video was reportedly taken in Bangalore Metro, popularly known as Namma Metro. Sharma’s video has over 45,000 likes.

In July, a similar video raked in thousands of likes. Jagjot Kaur, a fitness coach, shared a video that showed her doing a short calisthenics routine using the Delhi metro’s pivoted grab handles. In the video, the other commuters near her are seen impressed by her moves as they silently watch her. While sharing this clip on Instagram, Kaur wrote, “Calisthenics in public”.

Despite the popularity of such videos, the authorities have often advised people against recording videos on busy public transport.

Most recently, in March, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation posted on X, “Filming reels/dance videos or any other such activities that may cause inconvenience to the passengers is strictly prohibited inside the Delhi Metro.”

The post also asked passengers to travel in the Metro and not cause trouble – “Delhi Metro mein passenger bane, pareshaani nahi (be a passenger, not a hassle)”.
