It is never too late to start following new passions or inculcate new hobbies. Almost all of us remind ourselves that age is just a number but only a few people live by that maxim. A woman, however, proved how age is not a hindrance in working out as she started her fitness journey at 68.
The elderly woman trains with her son Ajay Sangwan in a gym. Her son also handles her Instagram account named @weightliftermummy that now has more than 6,000 followers.
In various videos posted online, she is seen performing excruciating exercises with aplomb. From performing dead lifts to doing squats and planks, she is seen performing all kinds of exercise with perfect form.
In a video, she shared how in February, she was suffering from arthritis in the knees and having lower back injury, which made it difficult to walk. But in July, she is seen working out in the gym and pushing more than 200 kg of weight!
Her videos impressed netizens who said they felt inspired seeing her working out.
“She has better form that so many other wanna be influencers, respect to you and your mother,” commented a user. “You inspired me,” said another. “India needs more sons like you! Thankyou for sharing,” appreciated a third. “Keep it up Aunty as you will be an inspiration for thousands of women around you who just at your age left the hope of doing something,” another person wrote.
