Arijit Singh takes Ed Sheeran on a scooter ride in his hometown; fans say ‘2025 is full of wonders’

The video quickly gained traction, with fans taking the opportunity to express their admiration for the singers. “They were spotted shooting something,Ed was holding a guitar, might be a small clip we can expect from them singing,” a user wrote. “we got arijit singh x ed sheeran at jiaganj before GTA IV,” another user commented.

“Best video of the internet,” a third user reacted. “Arijit rescuing ed from bangaluru police shenanigans,” another user said.

The Times of India said in a report that Arijit and Sheeran spent nearly five hours, riding through the streets of Jiaganj. They also boarded a mechanised boat for an hour-long ride along the Bhagirathi. Sheeran did not request any additional securities from authorities, according to the report.

Before his concert in Bengaluru, the Shape of You singer surprised the city with an impromptu performance on Church Street. However, the police halted his performance halfway through. Sheeran later said he did have permission to busk on Church Street. During his concert, he also surprised the audience by performing Chuttamalle, a Telugu song from Jr NTR and Janhavi Kapoor’s Devara, alongside singer Shilpa Rao.

Sheeran kick-started his India tour with A R Rahman in Chennai. He visited the Oscar-winning artist’s K M Music Conservatory during his stay in Chennai, and later performed a mashup of Shape of You and Urvasi Urvasi with Rahman during the concert.

Sheeran will next perform in Shillong on February 12, and in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) on February 15.
