Artificial intelligence-backed tools have opened up a world of possibilities for digital artists. It has allowed one to visualise totally unrealistic scenarios including astronauts in dreamy bridal attire. In recent months, people have been using AI art tools to view famous personalities in unlikely get-ups, such as Mark Zuckerberg walking the runway for Vivienne Westwood or placing the world’s richest people in urban slums.
Most recently, Twitter user Gaurav Agarwal (@7Gaurav8), shared a set of photos that imagined Indian cricketers like Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Ruturaj Gaikwad, KL Rahul, and others as kids. However, many of the pictures retained some features of maturity like facial hair which left an uncanny effect.
Commenting on this post, a Twitter user wrote, “This AI thing has started to scare me now!! These cricketers’ toddlers are scare AF ”. Another person wrote, “These don’t look like toddlers. They look like what would happen if the entire team were made of midgets.”
Interestingly, people also spoke about AI art fatigue. Echoing this sentiment, a Twitter user wrote, “They look more like the ones in flipkart ads, rather than toddlers. Also, enough of this AI generated business? After the first couple of threads, rest look forced.”
