British band Coldplay’s concert in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium took an unexpected turn when a heated brawl broke out between two men in the crowd. The altercation erupted when the band was performing their iconic song Viva la Vida. The now-viral video that captured the brawl shows two men trading punches and slapping each other as bystanders rush to separate them.
At one point, one of the men bites the other on the hand and the situation escalates when the second man retaliates with another slap. The video, shared on X by the account “Ghar ke Kalesh,” quickly garnered attention. The caption read, “Kalesh during Coldplay Concert (Viva la Vida turns into Viva La Kalesh) Ahmedabad.”

The video has now been viewed over 7.5 lakh times, and the Internet has been buzzing with amusement. Responding to it, an X user posted, “viva la vivaad,” giving their spin to Coldplay performing its popular song Viva La Vida in the background.

“Mein soch hi rahi thi ki ek bhi kalesh nahi hua Coldplay mein? (I was thinking how come not even one brawl erupted at the concert,)” wrote an X user.
Another user said, “heartening to see uncles getting comfortable using their fists.” A fourth user commented, “Imagine the situation if they’d served alcohol! Indians bina kalesh kare kuch bhi event nahi kar sakte (Indians can’t conduct an event without a fight.)”
Coldplay wrapped up their Music of the Spheres World Tour in India with a final show in Ahmedabad on Sunday. After starting the tour in Mumbai on January 18, they held three concerts in the city before heading to Ahmedabad for two more shows. During this tour, Chris Martin engaged with the audience in Hindi, Marathi, and Gujarati, and gave shout-outs to Shah Rukh Khan and cricketer Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah attended the Ahmedabad concert.
