Both teams were undefeated leading up to the match in Barbados. South Africa had a shot at winning but couldn’t surpass India’s score of 176 runs. This win marks India’s second T20 World Cup title after 2007. It also breaks their 13-year World Cup drought in any cricket format, following several near-misses in recent finals.
