Popeye the Sailor Man is one of the most iconic cartoons that is loved by kids across generations. If you have ever watched Popeye, you must be familiar with his superhuman strength and huge forearms.
While the cartoon character derives his exceptional strength from spinach, a man dubbed “Russian Popeye” injected petroleum jelly into his arms to make his biceps bigger.
Kirill Tereshin, known as Ruki Bazuki on social media, was said to have injected around three litres of petroleum jelly into his arms, which caused him severe issues and could have been life-threatening. He had to undergo several procedures to have big lumps of jelly surgically removed as his bulging arms would have to be amputated if the gunk was not removed.
Even after multiple surgeries over the years to extract the jelly and dead muscle tissue, his arms appRussian Popeyear enormously large. Tereshin’s Instagram account is filled with him showing his bulging arms that leave people astonished.
However, people have been far from impressed with Tereshin’s transformation and ridiculed his arms. The comments on most of his videos have been unfavourable.
“When’s leg day?” commented an Instagram user. “Never skip leg day,” another joked. “Bro,You ruined your own life, wake up man,” a third user wrote.
Tereshin, 25, a former Russian soldier who had already had his fake triceps removed, also tried his luck in mixed martial arts, but his new girth did not matter much in the ring. He lost to an opponent 20 years his senior, according to the New York Post newspaper.
