Manu Bhaker won hearts with her phenomenal performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Bhaker scripted history by becoming the only Indian athlete to win two medals in a single event since 1947.
After bagging a bronze medal in the mixed team 10m air pistol with Sarabjot Singh by defeating the Korean pair Wonho Lee and Jin ye Ohin, Bhaker joined ace shuttler PV Sindhu in the list of Indian athletes to have more than one Olympic medal.
Bhaker, in a video shared by Sportstar on X, hailed Sindhu and javelin star Neeraj Chopra. “In my time, I have always known PV Sindhu and Neeraj Chopra, always appreciated them for their hard work,” she says in the video.
“There was this one time when I made a fake profile to defend Sindhu. Some hater’s comment and I got so triggered and I defended her on that,” she said.
Reacting to the video, PV Sindhu wrote, “Haha what a sweetheart!!! Welcome to the 2 Olympic medal club Manu!! Way to go.”
