In recent years people have become used to several video communication software. However, some people, especially the elderly, still face problems navigating the complex features of Zoom.

Mark Borlace, who works with the Royal Automobile Association (RAA), is one of those people who are not adept at using the software Zoom. His misadventure with the software was caught on camera while he was getting ready to record an interview with 9News, a TV network in Australia.

On Tuesday, the Australian TV network shared the video that showed Borlace struggling to fix the background of his screen as he was preparing for a pre-recorded interview. In a behind-the-scenes recording, Alice Monfries, the news presenter, is seen struggling to suppress her amusement as Borlace changes his background from a scene of a carwash to underwater scuba diving.

At the end of the clip, when Borlace puts on a filter that shows him wearing a party hat, he excuses himself and says, “I’m gonna log out and come straight back to you” as Monfries breaks into a laugh.

This video has gathered hundreds of likes since it was posted. Alice Monfries retweeted it and wrote, “If only we could have run the whole thing.. including his profanities. Very very funny. I’m still giggling!”.

In the comments, many people found Borlace’s struggle with Zoom backgrounds and filter hilarious and relatable. “This made me giggle more than anything else all week – especially the little pizza hat,” a Twitter user commented on the video.
