American YouTuber MrBeast, known worldwide not just for his viral stunts but also for his generosity, took things to a whole new level on August 14.
Teaming up with Adin Ross and xQc, he hosted a marathon livestream on Kick that ran for more than 15 hours. By the time it ended, the trio had raised over Rs 100 crore ($12.02 million) for TeamWater, a global initiative focused on providing access to safe drinking water.
The staggering sum didn’t just change lives, it also set a Guinness World Record for the most money ever raised during a livestream, overtaking the $11.97 million benchmark set by Z Event in 2021.
In true MrBeast fashion, he celebrated the moment with heartfelt words: “Because of this stream, a lot of lives are going to be changed.” He also shouted out Braun as “the GOAT” and thanked streamers and donors of every level for helping turn the dream into reality.
As per TheWrap, some of the biggest contributions came from Be LOVE Electrolyte, finnbags, Kick co-founder Ed Craven, Bijan Tehrani, influencer Sophie Rain, and streamer Trainwreckstv, each pledging at least $1 million. Others like Dana White, Michael Rubin, Brian Chesky, Gary Vee, and Casey Wasserman also stepped in with generous support.
To keep the energy high through the night, the livestream was packed with wild antics, from lie detector tests and snake challenges to impromptu haircuts and even oil wrestling.
The mix of chaos, entertainment, and purpose-driven fundraising kept viewers glued to the screen and ultimately helped break a world record, while paving the way for clean water access across the globe.
