Justin Timberlake got a surprise during his Forget Tomorrow world tour stop in Thousand Palms, California. Three of his former *NSYNC bandmates—JC Chasez, Lance Bass, and Chris Kirkpatrick—showed up, unannounced, in the audience, catching the singer completely off guard.
A TikTok video shared by Bass captured the fun moment. Timberlake, 43, spotted his old friends dancing in the crowd and couldn’t help but laugh, saying, “Why didn’t you guys text me?” before continuing his performance.
The video also has a shot of Bass grooving to the music. The caption read: “On second thought, maybe we should have texted Justin before we showed up.”
The New York Post later shared the clip on Instagram, captioning it: “Justin Timberlake was saying hi hi hi to his former NSYNC bandmates.”
The video went viral and many netizens commented on it. One user wrote, “This is kind of adorable.” Another user said, “Just get back together already!”
A third person commented, “Please do a reunion tour!”
The trio, all in their late 40s and early 50s, spent the night dancing and having a blast during their spontaneous “date night”. Missing from the fun was Joey Fatone, who was celebrating a major milestone—his Broadway debut––as Lance in ‘& Juliet. Bass marked the occasion on Instagram writing, “In honor of Joey’s Broadway debut tonight, we had a date night without him.”
Fatone joined the excitement from afar by editing himself into the backstage reunion photo. Sharing the image, he wrote, “Thank you, Chris, for putting me in the photo. I was definitely there in spirit!”
The recent surprise meetup had fans feeling nostalgic and sparked excitement for a potential *NSYNC reunion. Fatone recently told The Post that the group is long overdue for a serious discussion about their future.
“We’ve got to have a conversation. Do we want to do a tour? An album? An EP? Or nothing? We’ve got to figure it out,” Fatone said.
With the 25th anniversary of No Strings Attached just around the corner, the timing seems ideal for a comeback. JC Chasez also appeared open to the idea, saying on the LadyGang podcast, “You go where inspiration is. I don’t fake things—I want it to feel real.”
