Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft and renowned philanthropist, embarked on a week-long trip to India. On March 5, he shared a glimpse of his “latest trip to India” on YouTube, with the video amassing over 300,000 views on the platform.
The video shows a montage of the trip consisting of his collaboration with Dolly Chaiwala, a visit to the Statue of Unity, a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi et al. Sharing the video, Gates wrote, “I loved being in India last week, and I wanted to share a few photos and videos—and some thoughts on why it’s so inspiring to be there. I can’t wait to go back.”
The text on the video reads, “During my trip to India, I saw the power of innovation from a simple cup of tea to incredible engineering feats. I met with government leaders, entrepreneurs, scientists and philanthropists. Driving the search for breakthroughs in health and development. I’m excited to see the great things India’s innovative spirit can do for its own people and the world.”

Besides interacting with entrepreneurs, scientists, and government leaders during his trip, Bill Gates also attended the star-studded pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, hosted by Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani.
Taking it to Instagram, Gates shared a picture of him posing with her girlfriend Paula Hurd, Anant Ambani, and Mukesh Ambani and wrote, “As I reflect on the past week in India, one thing stands out: The incredible hospitality everyone showed Paula and me, especially from Mukesh and Nita at the beautiful celebration of their son Anant and his fiancée Radhika.”
