Bryan Johnson, the US millionaire popular for his “age-reversing” initiatives, has been creating a stir on social media for a while now. After his strong reaction to the high air quality index (AQI) in India, which also prompted him to leave Nikhil Kamath’s podcast mid-way, Johnson is now garnering attention for adding garam masala, popular Indian spice mix, to his “strict” diet.
In a post on X, Johnson shared his meal plan for the coming days, which features a Blueprint superfood smoothie, butternut squash soup with roasted apples and carrots, and a black bean and mushroom bowl with chickpea rice. Notably, his recipe for the butternut squash soup includes a pinch of garam masala.

The post, which attracted over 1.8 million views, sparked a flurry of reactions from social media users, who expressed their doubts and questions. “What is the reason for storing your food in stainless steel containers,” a user wrote. “How do you deal with all the farts from black beans and lentils,” another user commented.
“I love these posts about what you are eating. They encourage me to focus more energy on my meal preps. I am not vegan and I’m currently following a ketogenic diet, but my meal prep has become healthier and more nutritionally sound. Thank you!” a third user said.
Johnson has previously shared his love for Indian food. “Power is moving away from football and fast food and towards health, science, and Indian food,” he wrote in an X post he made in December 2024.
However, despite this endorsement, the entrepreneur packed six days’ worth of food for his trip to Mumbai and Bengaluru. “A lot of people ask me what I do about food when I travel. The first rule is this: food is guilty until proven innocent. This is why I’ve brought with me to India every calorie I’ll eat for six days,” he explained. He also brought along items like longevity mixes, macadamia nut bars, lentils, pea soup, and matcha, all in line with his strict Blueprint diet.
