As we witness the rise of the billionaires significantly, India is also the home to the fifth-highest number of female billionaires in the world, as per the City Index’s International Women’s Day study.

Women in India are stepping into the spotlight, making their way up the billionaire ladder, breaking the traditional gender dominance of wealth and influence by building successful startups across various industries.

Along with her husband, Om Prakash Jindal, she founded Jindal Steel and Power, an Indian steel and power company, which after his passing expanded into various sectors, including power generation and real estate.

Jindal is recognised as not only India’s richest woman but also as the sixth richest woman in the world and the eighth richest Asian in 2024.

2. Rekha Jhunjhunwala:
