Top 10 Best Global Employers in 2024: Approximately 96% of executives report that we are now in an employee-centric labour market, with 70% of human resource professionals anticipating higher-than-usual turnover rates, according to a report by global consulting firm Mercer.
Furthermore, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) indicates that around 83% of HR professionals find it increasingly challenging to source quality candidates.
With rising competition for talent and trends such as the Great Attrition, loud quitting, and frequent job hopping, employers are amplifying their efforts to cultivate a strong organisational culture and employer brand. Their goal is to position themselves as the “best company to work for” to attract and retain a skilled workforce.
Forbes surveyed more than 3,00,000 employees in over 50 countries who work for multinational corporate groups that employ more than 1,000 workers and operate in at least two of the six continental regions of the world, ranking the best employers in the world.
Despite being home to some of the largest companies by market cap, no Indian company has made it onto Forbes’ list of the top 100 World’s Best Employers for 2024.
Jindal Powers and Steel, ranked at 200, HDFC Bank standing at 258th, and Larsen and Toubro at 275th, are notable mentions from the list.
Notably, companies from the United States dominate the list, with 5 companies ranked as the best employers as of 2024.
