Stray dog in Canada saves five kittens from cold by wrapping herself around them

On their Facebook page, the shelter revealed that the stray, who they named 'Serenity', and the kittens were doing well.

A passerby spotted the dog curled up around the kittens on the roadside in Ontario last week.

Five kittens pulled through a cold Canadian night after a stray dog wrapped herself around them to keep them warm. The dog and kittens were taken in by an animal shelter and were deemed healthy.

A passerby spotted the dog curled up around the kittens on the roadside in Ontario last week. Pet and Wildlife Rescue, a non-profit organisation working in Chatham-Kent, Ontario were called to the spot, who eventually took them in.

On their Facebook page, the shelter revealed that the stray, who they named ‘Serenity’, and the kittens were doing well. They also informed that Serenity is up for adoption and the kittens are currently under foster care since they are too young to be adopted.

The shelter also shared another post which said that the dog is estimated to be 2-years-old and warned potential adopters that she is quite young with the energy of a toddler.

Netizens, who came across this story, have been lining up to adopt them. Several others also reacted to the story. Take a look at some of the comments:
