Samsung launches Galaxy F06, its first budget 5G phone in India for Rs 9,499

The Galaxy F06 comes with One UI 7 based on Android 15 and will get 4 years of OS updates and security patches.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy F06, its most affordable 5G phone. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset.

The Galaxy F06 supports 12 5G brands and supports Carrier Aggregation, a feature that is usually available on mid-range devices. Unlike other budget 5G phones that only work with certain network providers, Samsung’s newest 5G phone works across all major telecom operators in India.

The phone has a large 6.7-inch HD+ LCD screen, with the High Brightness Mode (HBM) offering 800 nits of brightness. On the back, you get a vertical pill-shaped camera island that houses a 50MP primary camera alongside a 2MP depth shooter while the front of the phone houses a 8MP selfie camera in the tear drop notch.

Featuring a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W wired charging, Samsung says the Galaxy F06 is the fast charging phone in its price bracket . The device runs on One UI 7 based on Android 15 out of the box with Samsung promising 4 years of OS updates and security patches.

The company said it has added some user-requested features like Voice Focus, which cuts out ambient noise for a clearer calling experience and also included its hardware-backed security system – Knox Vault. The base variant of the Samsung Galaxy F06 that comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage can be purchased for Rs 9,499 while the 6GB RAM and 128GB version is priced at Rs 10,999.
