
UK-based mobile brand, Fly Mobiles, today re-entered the Indian smartphone market with three budget Android smartphones- Qik+, Qik and Snap. Fly Mobiles has been operating in the mobile phone segment for the past 10 years and is a popular brand in Russia.
The Qik+ handset, priced at Rs 6,999, runs on a Mediatek 1.7 GHz octa-core CPU, 600MHz Mali 450 GPU with 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM with support for up to 32GB external microSD cards. It sports a 5-inch 720p HD OGS screen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 293 ppi density. The device comes with a 13MP A/F rear camera with LED Flash and a 5MP front camera. Powered by a 2,200 mAh battery, the Qik+ offers dual SIM connectivity.
Fly Qik runs on a Mediatek octa-core 1.7 GHz processor, 600MHz Mali 450 GPU with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB. It offers a 4.5-inch IPS OGS display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels along with an 8MP A/F rear camera with Flash and a 5MP front camera. With dual SIM connectivity, it is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery. Fly Qik is priced at Rs 5,999.
The low end Fly Snap is priced at Rs 2,999. It runs on a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 16GB. It has a 4-inch IPS display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. Powered by a 1,500 mAh, the device comes with a 5MP rear camera with flash and a 2MP front camera. It also offers 3G connectivity, GPS and Bluetooth.
Fly mobiles will offer a free upgrade to Android Lollipop for both Qik+ and Qik in the near future. The Qik series support FOTA for over-the-air upgrade to Lollipop. Also, the Qik series come with two free Screen Guard to protect the display.
