The second T20 international match between Sri Lanka vs India at Colombo on Tuesday has been postponed after India all-rounder Krunal Pandya tested positive for Covid-19 forcing him to go under seven-day isolation.
In a statement released, the BCCI said that following the Rapid Antigen Tests conducted ahead of the match on Tuesday morning, Pandya was found to be positive. The medical teams have identified eight members as close contacts.
The entire contingent underwent RT-PCR tests to ascertain any further outbreak in the squad. As per PTI, the eight players in close contact with Krunal tested negative for the virus. However, they would not be taking the field in the second T20I as a precautionary measure.
The second T20I will now be played on Wednesday (July 28).
India are leading the three-match series after an emphatic 38-run win in the opening game on Sunday. Krunal Pandya took 1 for 16 in his two overs in the first game.

The development is also likely to affect the travel plans of Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav, who were due to join the Indian team in England after this series for an upcoming Test assignment against England next month.
