2 runs come off that over. But New Zealand's failure to find the wicket of Mahmudul and frequency of wickets in general means that Bangladesh are heading into the final part of theis chase with the upper hand.
Beckham, wjho was the hero for New Zealand with the bat in the first innings, is brought on the bowl for the first time. New Zealand need to find another breakthrough here. Mahmudul is threatening to take the game away from them. Could Beckham provide the inspiration New Zealand need with the ball in hand as well?
Mahmudul follows up the four in the previous over with another in the next one as well. He looks to take control of this chase now. That was his 7th four of the day and that sees him move into his 60s. BAN 139/3 after 32 overs

Joey Field is brought back ino the attack after a discussion within the New Zealand players. Mahmudul, nearing his 50, would be the man they would be targetting at this stage. Mahmudul and Shahadat content with finding runs in singles at the moment. They are at a better position than New Zealand were at this stage, but they do need to have wickets in hand. The first innings had a flourish at the end, powered by Beckham. BAN 121/3 after 29 overs
Mahmudul plays out another over from Aditya Ashok without offering too much. He moves into the 40s. Runs have dried up a bit after Hridoy's wicket. All to play for in the last 23 overs though. Bangladesh want to head into the last part of this match with wickets in hand. We could be building up for a thrilling finish. BAN 112/3 after 27 overs
A little more watchful approach by Mahmudul after Hridoy's wicket. Hridoy lost his wicket in coming down the track to the spinner. Adithya Ashok's turn did the trick there and the batsmen do not want to fall to his tricks again. BAN 107/3 after 25 overs
At the halfway stage, Bangladesh and New Zealand could stake equal claim to this match. Really depends on the partnerships Bangladesh can build from this stage onwards. Bangladesh need 105 runs in the next 25 overs, with 7 wickets in hand.

This partnership between Mahmudul and Hridoy is taking the game away from the Kiwis. This stand worth 48 runs already. And they have played together for less than 10 overs. A priceless partnership in the context of the match. BAN 80/2 after 18 overs
Mahmudul and Towhid are taking care to adapt their games to the change in the bowling attack and the changed fielding restrictions. The scoring rate has dipped a little in the last 3 overs. Both batsmen are on 17*. BAN 61/2 after 15 overs
Drinks are brought on. Bangladesh still have the upper hand in the match at this stage but New Zealand know things can change very quickly if they can get a few more breakthroughs.
Bangladesh get to the 50 mark in the 12th over. The run rate they are maintaining has been stupendous. This could swing the other way completely if a few quick wickets come about though. Both Hridoy and Mahmudul into double digits now and the partnership is worth 19 off 25 balls. BAN 51/2 after 12 overs
End of the Powerplay overs. Bangladesh would be unhappy with the wickets they have lost but their scoring rate has been good. New Zealand had found the runs much harder to come by in the initial overs. Mahmudul and Hridoy are in the middle for the Bangladesh side and they are both looking to play steadily.
Wicket and that's a big wicket. New Zealand are well into this game now. Emon is out. Caught behind. Hancock gets a breakthrough straightaway. Ball clipped his gloves on way to the keeper. Breakthrough for New Zealand! Tanzid is out. The batsman gets a top edge and third man runs in to catch it. New Zealand have got an early wicket in their defence of a modest total. BANU19 24/1 after 6 overs
Another four to finish off the fourth over. This time it is Tanzid. Both openers have found the boundary with their shots at least once now. The current run rate is more than the required run rate. Bangladesh will be happy with how their openers have seen off the first few overs of the chase. Emon ends the fifth over with another boundary, this time pulled beautifully past square leg. BAN 23/0 after 5 overs
Emon hits the first boundary of the innings. Leans into a drive and times it with perfection. Bangladesh have got off to a good start in their chase of 212. BAN U19 13/0 after 3 overs
Kristian Clarke and Joey Field have opened the bowling attack for New Zealand. The Bangladesh innings gets off on a contrasting note to how the New Zealand innings got off. With runs coming in ones and twos. Good running between the wickets between the openers to start off proceedings.

19 runs come off the last over. Beckham goes into his final gear in the last over as Shoriful Islam, who bowled a tremendous openiong spell, is thrashed in the last over. Goes awry with his line as well. Beckham finishes with an unbeaten 75 off 83 balls - a priceless knock under the circumstances. Bangladesh, after having started off on a commanding note have conceded a bit of the advantage to New Zealand as the innings wore on. Can their batting show enough firepower to overhaul this score? They need 212 to win and play India in the final on Sunday.
Four! Six! Beckham is going for it! 200 comes up for New Zealand. What a top class knock this has been from Beckham to take his team to a fighting total.
Beckham takes care to play all six balls of the 49th over and then take a single off the last ball to keep strike at the beginning of the last over of the innings. NZU19 192/8 after 49 overs
Six. Four. Wicket. The 48th over has gotten off to an eventful start. Joey Field cannot deal with the length there and he hits it straight to the fielder. Shoriful Islam gets his third scalp of the day. New Zealand lose their 8th wicket. NZU19 187/8 after 48 overs
Bangladesh are looking to keep Beckham as much off the strike as possible. New man Joey Field, however, starts off the 48th over with a six! And then a four. This is the strong finish they were looking for. Big shots incoming! NZU19 184/7 after 47.2 overs
Another wicket for the ever reliable Shoriful Islam. Clarke is out bowled for 7. Beckham loses another partner. Can the New Zealand tail give him enough company to take them close to 200? NZU19 168/7 after 46 overs
Beckham gets a reprieve. Mistimes a slog sweep but the ball lands between two fielders. That was a let off. How much will that let off hurt Bangladesh? NZU19 167/6 after 45 overs
Beckham is living up to the responsibility of finishing this innings on a strong note. Gets to his fifty wioth a four, his second fifty of the World Cup. Gets two boundaries of the 44th over.

Quinn Sunde's stay at the crease ends up being a really short one. Hasan Murad gets the wicket. Bowls his man. Middle stump uprooted. Second wicket for Murad. Beckham loses another partner. He has been playing his shots. All on him to take New Zealand close to the 200-mark from here on. NZU19 142/6 after 42 overs
Lidstone goes for 44. Big wicket! Lidstone, the highest scorer so far, could have made the Bangladesh team pay if he could have stayed on for a few more overs. Misses a full toss and gets out lbw. Shoriful Islam does the trick on reintroduction. Quinn Sunde joins Beckham in the middle. NZU19 142/5 after 41 overs
A flashpoint in the match. Bangladesh go up in appeal after Beckham appears to push the ball with the bat before he made his ground. Not out is the signal and not out it remains after the decision is referred upstairs.
All set for the final 10 overs now. New Zealand are primed to go even beyond 200 at this stage. Lidstone, on 43, has got some good company in the form of Beckham Wheeler Greenall, who has raced to 35 off 54 balls. Shoriful Islam is brought back into the attack as Bangladesh look to get the upper hand once more. This partnership, worth 66 off 87 balls, has brought some fight in the match after Bangladesh looked to have lorder the initial stages.
New Zealand are beginning to impose themselves on the match for the first time. Lidstone and Beckham Wheeler Greenall complete a 50-run stand. The runs are coming in ones and twos but they are coming at a steady pace. NZU19 127/4 after 38 overs
New Zealand have got a good partnership going in the middle. Lidstone and Beckham Wheeler Greenall have now accounted for a 44-run partnership to get the batting innings back in some shape. Can these two make the most of the 14 overs that remain and get close to the 200-mark. We would have competetive match on our hands if they can get to 200.
The New Zealand score gets into triple digits. Finally! 27 runs have come off the last 5 overs. Lidstone's 28 now the highest score of the innings. Beckham Wheeler Greenall is also looking to hit his shots whenever he can. NZU19 105/4 after 33 overs
Beckham Wheeler-Greenall hits consecutive fours in the 29th over. 11 runs come off that over by Rakibul. The most producgtive over in the innings so far for New Zealand. Could this signal a change in the momentum? Bangladesh are forced to do something different as a result. They bring on the off break of Towhid Hridoy. That over passes quickly without much incident. NZ 92/4 after 30 overs
And another wicket for Bangladesh. Tashkoff goes for the drive but misses the line as the ball from Hasan Murad swerves in ver so slightly and rattles his timber. The skipper goes for 10. NZU19 75/4 after 26 overs and they sink deeper into trouble.
Halfway stage of the innings. And New Zealand are still steuggling to get their momentum going. 3 runs have come off the last 2 overs. The last 5 overs have yielded 17 runs.
New man Jesse Tashkoff starts off with a four. Strike bowler Shoriful Islam is brought back into the attack as Bangladesh look to capitalize on their advantage. Antoher wicket here will have broken the backbone of the batting side. Lidstone and Tashkoff are looking to keep the scoreboard ticking, they know they do not have much time to get into their grooves. NZU19 69/3 after 23 overs
Third wicket! Another blow for New Zealand. Just when it had seemed the waters had calmed for them. Lellman, the highest scorer in the innings, is out for 24, quite against the run of play. He pulls to the deep midwicket and a fielder comes underneath it. Bangladesh are pumped with that wicket. The momentum has swung their way again. NZ 63/3 after 21 overs
New Zealand get to 50 in the 20th over. There is a more concerted effort to work more singles in overs. To get more runs from each over. They have got off to a slow start. Lellman and Lidstone both in double digits now, they have got to make sure they don't throw these starts away. NZU19 58/2 after 20 overss
A breaking of the shackles. Lellman gets a boundary to get the Kiwi fans on their feet. A boundary after a long time. The next over brings five singles. That boundary might just have got the momentum going in the batting innings. Drinks are brought on, perhaps at the wrong time for the two batsmen, who had got some runs going finallu. NZ U19 47/2 after 17 overs
Nicholas Lidstone is the new batsman in for New Zealand at Number 4. Tanzam Shakib bowls a maiden over. This is his first maiden over. And the 7th maiden over in the innings so far! And then, there is some big development at the other end. Rakibul Hassan concedes his first run. Off his 21st ball. Driven to cover for a single. NZ are not finding the runs at all at the moment. NZ U19 33/2 after 14 overs
Another big wicket. Ollie White is out. New Zealand lose both their openers and it can now safely be said Bangladesh have made some early inroads in the match. Ollie White goes for 18. He got a start but was always looking a little fidgety. Rakibul Hassan, who had bowled two maidens in two overs so far, gets his first wicket as the pressure he was building tells on the batsman. His 2nd maiden in as many overs. NZ U19 26/0 after 10 overs
Rakibul Hassan is brought into the attack after Shoriful went for runs in his last over. And like Shoriful, Rakibul starts off with a miaden over. Six dot balls. New Zealand's batsmen are looking to size up the opposition bowlers before thinking of playing their shots to them. God pressure from Bangladesh. NZ19 22/0 after 8 overs
There are cloudy skies over the ground t the moment. There was a spell of rain at the venue earlier in the day. So, while, no more rain is forecast for the day, it is relevant to note that Bangladesh will be the finalists of the U19 World Cup is this match is washed out without a result owing to more wins in the group stages than New Zealand.
Rhys Mariu's wicket has given Bangladesh a huge breakthrough early on in the match. Mariu's attacking strokeplay would have been counted as one of the Kiwis' strength in the pre-match analysis. Can the rest of the New Zealand side make up for their star opener's failure?
Ollie White hits his first boundary of the day in the 7th over. Shoriful Islam, who started off with two maidens, is going for some runs now. Bowls a hal volley on the pads and gets hit for four on the leg side. NZ U19 22/1 after 7 overs
