Pakistan vs UAE Cricket Score, Tri-Series 2nd T20I Highlights: Pakistan defeat UAE by 31 runs

Well this match is a lost cause already but UAE are going down swinging. 18 runs clobbered in the 19th over and Asif is on 73 off 33 balls. Saghir Khan has also had a couple of hits, he is on 11 off six. 

Well Asif is giving Muqeem a pasting today. First ball of the 18th is sent flying over midwicket and that's fifty in 25 balls.

Salman Mirza's second ball in the 17th over is full and wide, Dhruv Parashar looks to smash it on the off side. Gets a thick outside edge and Haris dives full stretch and takes a one-hander.

That 17-run over was followed by a 19-run over against Hasan Ali and, going into the last four overs, Asif Khan is sitting on 44 off 23. Dhruv Parashar at the other end on 15 off 17. 

UAE need a whopping 79 to win off 24 balls now. Their required rate is 19.75 and they are still going only at 8.06. 

Sufiyan Muqeem continues for his 14th over after Nawaz bowls out in the 13th - he has figures of 2/21. Asif Khan welcomes him with a four through extra cover. He then clears his front leg and clobbers the second ball over cow corner. A single next ball and then Parashar launches the fourth ball over cow corner. Two dots after that and its 17 runs for UAE in that over. 

Well UAE are crumbling now. Nawaz tossed the second ball of the 11th around middle and leg, Rahul Chopra went for a big slog sweep. Top edge and the simplest of catches for the fielder at backward square leg.

The required rate has jumped up to 13.30 and UAE are currently going at 7.50. Saim Ayub can't be kept out of the game today. He gets the wicket of Alishan Sharafu fourth ball of the ninth over. UAE now have Rahul Chopra out there on 11 off 13 and Asif Khan on six off five.

PAK vs UAE Live Score, Tri-Series 2nd T20I: A mix-up fifth ball of the sixth over bowled by Hasan Ali! The batters ran two and then Waseem made his way back for a three. But Ethan D'Souza sends him back, he was already halfway down the pitch and was nowhere in the picture when the throw came in,. 

Zohaib tries to cut Nawab first ball of the fifth over. Ends up giving catching practice to the fielder at extra cover.

Hasan Ali with the second over, Waseem smashes the fifth ball over mid off for a four. Then he hits the last over off side for a six.

All right, pacer Salman Mirza to start things off for Pakistan. Muhammad Zohaib on strike for UAE, Muhammad Waseem at the other end. 

Siddique bowled the last over and he gets Hasan Ali with the third ball. And then come two run outs off the last two balls. Pakistan ran a run off the first of those and two off the second. They have thus finished with a score of 207 and well, this should be a comfortable win for them unless UAE pull of a chase to beat all chases. 

Saghir Khan's third wicket of the day was Mohammad Nawaz, which has left Faheem Ashraf and Hasan Ali out there to try and get Pakistan past 200. They are faring pretty well so far, with Ashraf hitting a six and a four off the last two balls of the over to get to 11 in five balls.

Haider Ali cops a hat-trick of sixes first three balls of the 16th over and then finally gets his man. But the damage has been done. This was a half-tracker that Hasan tried to pull. Inside edge and the keeper does the rest.

Well, just when it looked like Pakistan are in trouble, they have managed to get a partnership. Newboy Hasan Nawaz has taken the bowling on and raced to 38 in 22 balls, he has Mohammad Nawaz at the other end on 13 off nine.

Saghir returns for the 12th over and he gets the big man with the third ball there! It was a full delivery, sliding down leg. Ayub tries to clip it but then the wicketkeeper tracks that and takes the catch down the leg side.

Pakistan 104/4 in 11.3 overs

Pakistan are 93/3 and they just need a partnership to last about three overs here. For now, Saim Ayub has Hasan Nawaz at the other end and he has scored six off five balls. Ayub at the other end has played a pearl, he is on 66 off 34 balls.

Saghir Khan strikes in his first over as well! Fifth ball of the one in which Ayub raised his fifty, it is a length ball outside off. Agha tries to fend it away but he is almost bounced out there. Edged to the keeper.

Pakistan 74/3 in 7.5 overs

And he gets there with a six and a four. Ayub has almost single-handedly propped up the Pakistan innings thus far. Saghir Khan is introduced in the eighth over, his first ball is hooked leg side for a six. And then yet another lucky edge for four for Ayub to raise his fifty in 25 balls. 

A scrappy powerplay for Pakistan, they surely would have liked to have far more than this. Haider Ali closes out the powerplay quite brilliantly for the UAE, conceding just three runs in the sixth over. 

Ayub is on 32 off 18, his assault in the third over is what has largely contributed to Pakistan scoring over 50 runs in the powerplay. Salman Agha at the other end on four off six. 

Haider Ali brought on and he makes an impact straightaway! Wicket off the first ball for him and it is that of the dangerous Fakhar Zaman. He is a left arm spinner, pitches it up but gets it to dip on Zaman as well. Fakhar is done by it, misses his sweep entirely and the wickets are flattened.

Saim Ayub has given Junaid Siddique a pasting here. Fakhar Zaman with a boundary second ball after Ayub took a single first ball. Another single third ball and then Ayub hooks the third ball away for a six. A lucky four next as he edges a drive past the keeper. The last ball is swatted away leg side for another six.

Just seven runs in the second over. Offspinner Dhruv Parashar was the man who bowled it, and his first delivery was driven through the covers by Saim Ayub for four. A single after that and then Fakhar Zaman couldn't get the next two balls away. Two more singles came off the last two balls.

Well it looks like Junaid Siddique didn't see our here the ball knocking off the bails. He turns around and appeals ferociously for what can only be LBW to a rather puzzled umpire. Then he turns back and smiles. His third ball was wide and Farhan nicked it over the wicketkeeper for four. Then fourth was angled into the batter's body and Farhan tucked it behind square for four. He then shortened his pitch a tad bit with the same line, Farhan didn't know what to do with it. Came into the batter with the angle, went through him and right on to the stumps. An early strike for UAE.

All right, pacer Junaid Siddique has the ball in his hands, Sahibzada Farhan is on strike, Saim Ayub at the other end. Here we go!

A batting friendly surface, which is somewhat typical for Sharjah. In fact if dew comes in later, which will make batting even better. At the same time, though, there is a strong wind blowing through and if these conditions remain, there would be no dew at all. 

One would've expected the Pakistani diaspora to be there for this game, even though it is a game against UAE who aren't the strongest of oppositions. This is the only group fixture of this tri-series that is being played on a weekend as well.

Pakistan were showing the kind of solidity that one would expect from a side of their stature.
