Ripon Mondal rightly named Player of the Match.

India A captain Jitesh Sharma takes the responsibility for the defeat, says his dismissal was critical in the run-chase and should have finished it off. Also says that the decision to not send Vaibhav (and Priyansh) was because they are gun batters in the powerplay but Jitesh, Ramandeep and Ashutosh are designated death batters so it was a high-percentage call.

Bangladesh A captain Akbar Ali is very candid in his reflections. Says he apologised to the team heading into the Super Over and that he took responsibility in case they lost it.

IT was perhaps a stumping chance for Jitesh too but it wouldn't have mattered because the wide would have stood even if Akbar was out stumped there. Just an incredible match (not for the quality towards the end, mind you).

A special mention for the brilliant Ripon Mondal. A sensational 19th over and a magnificent Super Over.

WHAT A CATCH BY RAMANDEEP SINGH! He is known for taking blinders and he takes a stunner of a catch at long on and Yasir Ali is out going for a six off the first ball.

WOW! WHAT A BLUNDER! WHAT A MAD FINISH!

Harsh Dubey doesn't connect, the ball is hit towards long on. The throw is towards the keeper's end and Harsh is doing the right thing by coming back for a second. Akbar Ali just had to gather the ball and keep it within his gloves. But he throws the ball underarm at the stumps, misses the direct hit and Nehal-Harsh complete a third.

BOWLED! This time Rakibul nails the yorker and Ashutosh can't get underneath it. Stumps rattled.

OH WOW! DROPPED AND FOUR! This time fired in full by Rakibul, Ashutosh smashes one down the ground but there is no elevation, Jishan Alam drops it at long off and the ball goes for four behind him.

19.1: Rakibul fires one in short, Ashutosh can only find the deep midwicket fielder. Just a single.

19.2: Another one fired in and away from the hitting arc of Nehal, and it is another single.

19.3: SIX! THAT IS THE ONE INDIA WANTED! Another one fired in, but this time Ashutosh is ready for it. Smashed over long on.

Oh wow, this is a gamble from Bangladesh now.

WOW! What a stunning 19th over. Complete contrast to the first innings. Ripon finishes with a superb yorker and it is just 5 singles in that over.

RAMANDEEP GONE! Bangladeh A sense the win here. Good yorker from Ripon and Ramandeep cannot get the elevation on this. Digs this out to long on.

India A need 19 off 9 balls and out walks Ashutosh who knows a thing or two about finishing big.

Ripon to bowl the 19th...

...and Akbar drops a sitter! Full toss and Nehal completely mishits it. And Akbar drops a sitter with the gloves on this time.

Should have been a no ball for height? Not given though.

Saqlain, who has been super impressive so far, comes on for his fourth and final over. Ramandeep plays a smart late cut off the second ball for four behind square on the offside. But Saqlain comes back well with two dot balls. A cut straight to the fielder and then a reverse scoop that is completely missed by the batter. Another fine over from Saqlain... until a gift off the last ball on the pads to Nehal, who lifts it over fine leg. Disappointing end to a fine spell from the pacer.

India need 21 off 12 balls.

Remember Bangladesh scored 50 off the last 12 balls.

Ramandeep holds the pose... a fuller ball from Ripon and he lofted it over cover with elegance for four. But otherwise it is a solid over from the pacer, just four singles other than that boundary.

India A needed 31 off 18 balls.

A four for Ramandeep Singh off the first ball he faces, a lovely backfoot punch for four past cover. But it is actually otherwise a really good over from Meherob, who has had a fine day.

India A need 39 off 4 overs.

SIX AND OUT! And Jitesh's luck runs out finally. Smashes a stunning six over extra cover off the fifth ball but is out caught as captain Akbar Ali takes a stunner behind the wicket to get rid of his counterpart. An angry looking Hider finally has his man. A big over for India A but how costly will that wicket prove to be.

Jitesh Sharma c Akbar Ali b Abu Hider 33 (23 balls)

6, 4, DROPPED! Jitesh has been struggling for timing most of his innings. But he deides to take on Hider's left-arm pace here. Reads the change of pace and smashes one down the ground towards the sightscreen for six. A cheeky attempt at a paddle takes the top edge and goes for four over the keeper's head. He should have been gone next ball, a square drive dropped at point.

Second life for Jitesh and both off Hider.

Nehal nearly bowled off the first ball off the 14th over! That kept low and barely mssed the stumps. But the leftie decides he has had enough. Takes diwn Rakibul wide of long on for a big six. Follows that up with a four behind square. Ended a sequence of more than four overs without a boundary.

India need 63 off last 6 overs.

"Come on guys, chance coming, chance coming...": Akbar Ali from behind the stumps.

This is a seriously good spell for Bangladesh. A streak of 26 balls without a boundary for India A, Saqlain's over goes for just six singles. Great use of slower ones from the right-arm pacer and India's run-chase has been stalled big time here.

That's another fine over from Rakibul Hasan, the left-arm spinner giving no room to work with for either Jitesh or Nehal.

Just 7 runs from that over.

"They are under pressure boys come on!" says captain Akbar behind the wickets as he tries to make the Indian batsmen feel the heat here. Some really sharp fielding in that over. Nehal takes off for a quick single but Jitesh is in trouble here. In the end. he has JUSSTT MADE IT IN, the direct hit notwithstanding. It's a fine over from Meherob despite a couple of wides.

India need 94 off 60 balls.

If they keep wicktes in hand, they should be able to cross the finish line but remember Bangladesh scored 75 off the last 30 balls, India A can't afford to try and replicate that.

PRIYANSH GONE! Just when you thought he had swung the match back in India's favour, he falls. Rakibul comes into the attack and strikes right away. Short enough for Priyansh to go for the slog but he didn't get his timing right. And Jishan makes no mistake at long on.

BIG OVER! AND CHANCE MISSED!

Priyansh drags the momentum back in India's favour, with a sequence of 4-6-4. The six down the ground, and the two fours through the offisde. The second four was a thing of beauty, a yorker squeezed past two fielders in the ring.

Last ball of the over, Jitesh gets a life. Mishit from Jitesh and Yasir can't hold on at deep square leg this time. Hider unlucky there.

Oh chance! Priyansh tries to break the shackles and goes for a pull over square leg off Meherob, it is not timed well but falls short of the diving deep square leg fielder. Meherob does well to pull it back after that boundary.

NAMAN DHIR GONE! It's been a forgettable few minutes for the Indian vice captain. After conceding 28 runs in the 19th over just a while back, he now falls for a 12-ball 7 that halted India's momentum. Was on the pads, he tried to play a short-arm jab but finds the fielder in deep square leg. Had hit a four the previous ball, but it wasn't to be a change in momentum. Left-arm seamer Hider strikes in his first over.

Naman Dhir c Yasir Ali b Abu Hider 7 (12 balls)

A boundary drought ends but very streakily. It was shaping into another fine over from Saqlain with just 2 runs off the first five balls, but Priyansh manages to lob one over cover. It trickles down to the boundary line. Not in control but India will take that, things had come to a screeching halt after Vaibhav fell.

India 62/1 after the powerplay.

Fine comeback from Ripon, the pacer does well to keep Naman tied down with four dot balls to finish the 5th over.

Bangladesh will be very happy with how the last couple of overs have panned out.

Vaibhav was pretty crossed with himself as he slowly trudged off the field. A flying start but the youngster will have to learn to make these more substantial. Especially after he was beaten off the last two deliveries he faced.

Fine over from Saqlain, Naman is the new batter in.

VAIBHAV GONE! A four to start the fourth over as Saqlain comes into the attack. The Indian batter is then beaten by pace off the next ball and then deceived by a slower ball but survives on both occasions. Off the fourth though, he goes down the ground and there is no timing on this (might have neen another slower one) as Vaibhav loses one hand on the grip.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi c Jishan Alam b Abdul Gaffar Saqlain 38 (15 balls)

Spectator? Not anymore. Priyansh Arya smashes back-to-back sixes in the third over, taking on the offspin of Jishan. First over extra cover and then a MASSIVE strike down the ground. Biggest six of the match presumably.

SIX SIXES IN THE FIRST THREE OVERS FOR INDIA A.

TWO MORE SIXES! Stop me if you can, says Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Meherob's over was off to a good start, but the youngster smashes two sixes down the ground off the last two balls to spoil it for the Bangladeshi bowler.

This is a super start for India A. Priyansh is a spectator so far.

WHAT A START! Vaibhav smashes two sixes in the first over and follows that up with a four. The sixes were over midwicket as Ripon dropped a couple of deliveries short. Picked up the lengths superbly. The four was well-timed past cover.

Vaibhav has gone past Habibur for most sixes in the tournament now, with 20 and counting perhaps.

That is a stunning finish from Bangladesh A, thanks to Meherob and Yasir.

India's fifth bowling combination of Ramandeep and Naman went for aplenty and Vyshak was ordinary in the last over too.

Indian players got into a quick huddle before heading off the field.

WHAT A FINISH FROM BANGLADESH! This time Yasir Ali, two fours through the square leg then a lovely lofted drive over point for a six. And then Meherob smashes a six over long on for another six. He finishes on 48 off 18 balls.

We didn't think 160 was on the cards but the last two overs have gone for APLENTY.

Overs 16-20: 75/2! What a stunning climax to this innings.

HUGEEEEE OVER! There we go, as we thought, the sixth bowler option has come to hurt India.

First ball from Naman, Meherob makes room and goes over extra cover for six.

Then cames a stunning reverse sweep off the third ball, again six.

Naman goes over the wicket, and it is a conventional sweep this time for a third six.

Cheeky off the fifth ball, a scoop behind the keeper for four.

And then out comes a reverse sweep six off the last ball.

TWENTY EIGHT RUNS FrOM THE 19th OVER! Meherob, wow.

Gurjapneet's last over was off to a good start as he kept things full. But the moment he went for a change-up with a dug-in short ball, Meherob smashes one wide of long on for a much-needed six for Bangladesh A. 160 back in sight for Bangladesh after that over. Gurjapneet finishes with 2/39.

Naman Dhir to bowl the 19th. Can Bangladesh make India pay for this?

That's a solid entry into the attack from Naman, a couple of wides notwithstanding. Just 5 runs from that over as Bangladesh are now struggling to get towards even 160.

That's a fine catch! Priyansh runs to his left from long on and takes a good catch diving to his left. And the move to bring on Naman Dhir works for Jitesh.

With Habibur now back in the pavilion, Jitesh brings on Naman Dhir because India still need to account for two extra overs.

THAT IS THE WICKET INDIA WANTED! Habibur was the danger man here and this could well be game-defining and shave a good chunk off India's target. Gurjapneet, after being hit for a streaky four over short third, comes back with a change of pace and has the opener mistming one straight to the fielder at cover. Low full toss does the trick. End of a fine innings.

Habibur Rahman Sohan c Harsh Dubey b Gurjapneet Singh 65 (46 balls)

Oh wow, that is close! Smart keeping by Jitesh. Meherob, the new leftie batter, is beaten outside the offstump by one that turned away from him by Suyash. Jitesh waits and waits and then flicks the bail off as the batter was at the edge of the crease. But after quite a few replays the third umpire goes in favour of the batter. Perhaps a fair call in the end.

End of a good spell from Suyash too but now it means Habibur can target the pacers.

SUYASH STRIKES! The spinners have looked India's best bets for wickets and Suyash delivers a breakthrough. Abu Hider goes for a sweep, the speed defeats him and the edge is taken by Jitesh. But really, India and Suyash would have preferred the wicket of Habibur, who looked to be trapped plumb in front in the first ball of the over but wasn't given out.

And now Habibur goes big over the offside as Vyshak offered width to the opener. He now has more sixes than Vaibhav in this tournament. Vyshak limits the damage rest of the over.

A tame dismissal for the Bangladesh captain as he lofts one back softly to the bowler. Harsh completes a simple caught & bowled and finishes with a wicket in his last over for the day.

Akbar Ali c & b Harsh Dubey 9 (10 balls)

Bangladesh are clearly targetting the fifth bowling option for India here and Ramandeep Singh is taken down the ground for another six! Slower ball, outside off, but Habibur reads this early and smashes down the ground. The opener brings up his half century at the end of the over, bringing up a 32-ball 50.

India A have a problem here. Surely Ramandeep cannot bowl two more? He has looked well out of sorts.

A full toss from Suyash is paddled behind for four by captain Akbar, who is the new batter in. "Jitna bola, utna kar..." is the message from the slightly annoyed India captain Jitesh from behind the stumps. And it is a good comeback from Suyash too, just two singles in the over after that four.

Despite the wicket, a big over! Habibur with perhaps the shot of the match so far. Slower ball but right into the hitting arc, and the slot ball has been smashed down the ground.

SIX AND OUT! Oh dear. Abrar welcomed Ramandeep with a big six over square leg and you thought maybe now he can open up. But he'd not want to see the replay of this dismissal. Short and wide, begging to be put away, but he cuts it to the fielder at deep point. Tame dismissal. India won't mind.

Abrar needs to get a move on... 7 off 17 at the moment.

Ramandeep comes in to the attack.

Suyash has been unlucky here. Both the batters have struggled to pick him but the edges have been beaten and the mishits haven't carried. Another tight over from him.

And here comes the big one! After a couple of quiet overs (14 balls without a boundary in fact) Habibur smashes one over long on for a six off Harsh Dubey. Wasn't actually off the middle of the bat but it was in the arc and the bat-swing was powerful enough to take it over the boundary ropes.

Tight first over from Suyash Sharma and India's fielding continues to remain sharp as well. Bangladesh's blistering start has been cooled down significantly here.

Superb end to the powerplay for India! Five dot balls from Harsh Dubey as he keeps things flat and quick and Abrar struggles to cut them away. The batter does get one off the middle off the last ball but it is fielded superbly by Ashutosh at point, saved a certain four. Just one run from the 6th over.

BANGLADESH 49/1 after the powerplay.

A good over from Gurjapneet ends with a boundary for Bangladesh as Habibur goes high over the midwicket region. Doesn't go all the way but a four nevertheless.

There is the breakthrough for India. It's not dissimlar to the first four that Jishan hit off Gurjapneet, throwing his hands at one just outside offstump in the 4th channel. But this time, instead of outside edge, it takes the toe of the bat and Naman takes a lovely running catch at mid off.

Harsh Dubey is welcomed into the bowling attack with a slog for over long on for six! Jishan's second six of the match already. After an edgy start, he has played some fine shots. Dubey comes back well enough to limit damage.

A break in play here... Jitesh is getting some treatment.

Was shaping into a decent over from Vyshak but Habibur keeps the rate going with a smart scoop over fine leg for four off the last ball. Bangladesh staying above 10 an over.

Streaky four this time. Jishan throws his bat at one just outside offstump, the outside edge flies past the only slip fielder. Nothing streaky about the next boundary as Jishan clears his front leg and slogs one over square leg. Fourth ball, Jishan rocks back and smashes a pickup pull over fine leg for a six!

The broadcasters flash a stat that Bangladesh A have the best powerplay runrate in the tournament so far, going at above 10 an over.

There is some carry on this pitch early on.

Vyshak with a slightly erratic start. Three dot balls but interspersed with a couple of wides, the second one really wild down the leg side which Jitesh does really well to dive and stop. That was heading for the boundary line. Off the fifth ball, a STREAKY SIX. Possibly the best ball Vyshak bowled in that over, Habibur is squared up as he tried to play a flick but it took the leading edge and flew all the way to six over third man. Wow, that travelled quite a bit.Vyshak finishes the over with a dot ball that zips past the batter and the bowler gives a stare down.

When Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Naman Dhir were in the middle, India A appeared to be heading to another big score, even if not at the rate they were against UAE a couple of days back. But after Naman fell in the 9th over and Vaibhav followed him in the 10th, India A went from 91/2 to 136 all out against Pakistan A in the Rising Stars Asia Cup tournament in Doha. That collapse proved decisive as Pakistan A cruised past the finish line in just 13.2 overs, riding on an unbeaten 79 from left-handed opener Maaz Sadaqat, who had also picked up a couple of wickets earlier. India's pacers couldn't cause early dents in the defence, leaking boundaries and extras as Jitesh Sharma-led India suffered a heavy defeat.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the 14-year-old rising star, is India's leading run-getter in the tournament so far, thanks mainly to that swashbuckling 144 against UAE in the first match. He has 201 runs from three innings, behind Pakistan's Maaz Sadaqat (who led Pakistan to the win against India A in their match). Habibur Rahman Sohan is Bangladesh's leading run-scorer with a highest score of 100*.
