Even as he refused to compare himself with Mahendra Singh Dhoni,former skipper Sourav Ganguly said on Saturday that the current India captain was one of the greatest leaders in ODI cricket. “As far as one-day cricket is concerned,Dhoni is one of the greatest captains,” Ganguly said. “I’ve seen many one-day players and played with many but as a package of batting,wicketkeeping and captaincy,Dhoni has been outstanding for India. He’s definitely one of the best finishers’ of the game. Dhoni possesses tremendous match finishing ability. It’s really wonderful to see the kind of ice cool nerve as well as temperament he showed in the final.
Duleep final in Kerala
Kochi: In a first for the state,Kerala will host the final of the All India Duleep trophy at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium here from October 17 to 21. The semi-finals will also be held here from Oct 10-13. The decision in this regard was taken at the South Zone fixture committee meeting held in chennai,a KCA press release said on Saturday. (PTI)
