AIIMS Jhajjar campus gets Plan panel nod

The Planning Commission on Wednesday approved Union Health Ministrys proposal to set up an outreach facility of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Jhajjar.

The Indian Express reported that the Ministry planned to shift the non-critical departments of the institute to de-congest the main campus.

The plan for the Rs2,700 crore campus got a nod at a meet attended by Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and Plan panel Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia.
