Reasons to Cheer: Where to eat in Delhi during Navratri

While green dots dominate menus at Indian restaurants during Navratri, we bring you foods from other cuisines.

Nom Nom, The Ashok:

With Navratri celebrations underway all over Delhi, Nom Nom is jumping onto the bandwagon with a special nine-dish menu, made sans onion and garlic. The dishes include Chinese bread with Pumpkin Schzewan style, Wok-tossed Bokchoy, Bean Sprouts, waterchestnut in Char Kway Teow sauce, Braised Broccoli with Shitake Mushroom in Veg Oyster mushroom sauce and Mee Goreng Noodles.

An orchestra belts out old Gujarati songs as members of the colony and outsiders do garba, dandiya and heech. The community upholds traditions and refrains from disco dandiya tracks.
