Try this unique paneer dish for dinner tonight

Paneer or cottage cheese holds a special place in the hearts of Indians With its creamy texture, mild flavour, and versatile quality, it has captured the love and admiration of countless food enthusiasts. Whether it’s delicately cooked in a rich curry or grilled to perfection, paneer never fails to satisfy the taste buds. As we know, people love eating their paneer in a variety of ways, across different cuisines.

The same is the case with Chef Maria Goretti who loves experimenting with paneer. “Paneer or cottage cheese is something that I tasted for the very first time when I was 23 years old. And post that I consumed it as much as possible,” she said, adding that eating with a little pepper was her favourite pastime.

If you are wondering how you can prepare this dish, don’t worry as Goretti has shared a quick recipe for the same on her Instagram account.

Ingredients

Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp
Onions – 3 chopped
Salt to taste
Tomatoes– grated
Red Chilli powder- 1 tsp (2, if you like it spicy)
Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
Jeera powder – 1/2 tsp
Haldi – just a little bit
Garlic – 3 cloves, pounded
Water – 1/4 cup
Paneer – 1/2 kg, grated
Chilli oil – 1 tsp

For tadka

A little oil
Jeera
Mustard seeds
Curry leaf

Method

*In a pan, add 2 tbsp of vegetable oil.
*Add 3 chopped onions and salt.
*Once the onions have broken down, add tomatoes, red chilli powder, garam masala, fresh coriander powder, jeera powder, and a pinch of turmeric powder. Mix everything well.
*To the pan, add garlic and a little bit of water.
*While the spices are getting cooked in the pan, cut the green chilli vertically and remove all the seeds.
*To the pan, add grated paneer. If you want it more spicy, add some chilli oil. Mix everything well.
*Stuff this paneer bhurji in the sliced green chillis.
*Take a pan and add some oil. Add a little jeera, mustard seeds, and fresh curry leaves.
*Now, add your stuffed chilli to this pan to add tadka.
