Taking to social media platform X, Soundararajan, who is also a former Governor of Telangana, wrote: “Yesterday as I met our honourable Home Minister Sri @AmitShahji in AP for the first time after the 2024 elections. He called me to ask about post-poll follow-up and the challenges faced. As I was elaborating (on the matter), due to paucity of time with utmost concern, he advised (me) to carry out the political and constituency work intensively which was reassuring. This is to clarify all unwarranted speculations around….”
On Wednesday, several BJP handles shared a video of an interaction between Shah and Soundararajan while on stage at Chandrababu Naidu’s swearing-in as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister. In the clip, Shah could seen telling her something while waging his finger. Karthik Gopinath, state vice-president of the BJP’s social media cell, shared it on social media with the caption: “That looks like a strong admonishment from Amit Shah ji to Tamilisai akka. But what could be the reason for this ‘public’ warning? Unwarranted public comments?”
