Over 100 parents of Faridabad Abhibhavak Ekta Manch (Faridbad Parent’s Association) will stage a dharna outside the Mini Secretariat,Faridabad at 11 am on Wednesday to protest against private schools hiking fees in the name of arrears.

“We will submit our memorandum to the district administration today,” said Ashok Aggarwal,a parent and an advocate. “We have been protesting against private schools hiking fees on a regular basis. We will move the court if our pleas go unheard with the district administration,” added Aggarwal.

“Our demand is that schools need to come out transparent with their expenditure and there needs to be an audit conducted for the same,” said Kailash Sharma, president of the Manch, adding that it was incomprehensible as to why the burden of paying arrears to teachers under the Sixth Pay Commission be shifted to the parents alone and not shared by schools.
