The maximum annual tuition fee for schools in gram panchayats has been fixed at Rs 10,000 for primary classes and Rs 12,000 for higher classes.

As per the new rules, the students will now have to shell out Rs 1,10,000 as opposed to Rs 49,150 earlier for one year. The university has hiked the fee for only new admissions.

The government in exercise of its powers conferred under Rule 21 of the Telangana Educational Institutions (Establishment, Recognition, Administration and Control of Schools under Private Management) rules, 1993 directs all private schools to not hike any fee.
