Equating attack on women in a pub at Mangalore in Karnataka with terrorism,Madhya Pradesh Governor Balram Jakhar said that nobody has any right in a democracy to hit others to prove himself.

“Whatever happened in Mangalore and in Mumbai is terrorism,” Jakhar told reporters responding to a question on pub culture and violence against women by Ram Sena activists,in a programme last night.

Committing violence on anyone amounts to terrorism,he said.

If anyone feels that girls are on a wrong path then they should talk to their parents. They don’t have any right to take law into their hands by indulging in violence,Jakhar said.

“ The incident of beating up girls is totally wrong as there is a democracy in the country and the state government concerned should be aware on the issue,” he added.
