Chirag Paswan decides to join NDA after meeting Amit Shah

Paswan has been in talks with the BJP for finalising his party’s share of Lok Sabha seats in Bihar for the 2024 general elections.

Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan has decided to join the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief J P Nadda on Monday.

This comes after Paswan met senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, a day ahead of the ruling NDA meeting scheduled to be held in New Delhi.

Nadda took to Twitter to welcome his decision of joining the alliance. “Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan has decided to join NDA alliance led by Shri Hon’ble Narendra Modiji. I welcome him to NDA family,” Nadda tweeted.


Paswan has been in talks with the BJP for finalising his party’s share of Lok Sabha seats in Bihar for the 2024 general elections, and the meeting was seen as part of that exercise.
