The Pune city police recently booked a school teacher for allegedly beating an 11-year-old student. The father of the student lodged an FIR in this matter at the Swargate police station Friday.

As per the FIR, the accused teacher thrashed the complainant’s son after he was found to have not tucked in his shirt during a computer class held on September 27. The student allegedly bled from his nose and ears after the beating.

The police have booked the accused under Sections 115 (2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.

A probe is underway and a notice has been issued to the accused teacher, a police officer said.
