The autopsy report of the Dutch woman, who was found hanging at her house at Vrindavan in Mathura district on December 4,holds strangulation as the cause of death.
Mathura police have rejected robbery as the motive behind the murder of Bodha Voie as nothing was missing from the house. But her younger brother Radha Prasad said money and some documents were missing from the house. Radha Prasad,a computer engineer in Holland,is currently in Mathura.
The police said they were questioning some locals whom the family had named as suspects. So far we have questioned 10 persons, but found nothing concrete, said Circle Officer of Mathura Ashutosh Mishra.
Radha Prasad said he suspected his sister was murdered because she had refused to sell her house at Sheetal Chaya colony. The house is in a prime locality in Vrindavan. My sister had told me that a few locals were pressuring her to sell the house. I suspect involvement of property brokers who were in touch with my sister, he said.
Today, the Mathura police gave the keys of the house to Radha Prasad. I cleaned the house and found a letter written by my sister in which she hinted she was not safe in the house, said the brother.
On December 4,the highly decomposed body of Bodha Voie was found hanging from an iron rod inside the house. The police suspected she had committed suicide. Her family in Holland and the Dutch Embassy in New Delhi were informed.
