Bajpai disowns ‘CM for UP’ page on Facebook

The Facebook account in question projects Bajpai as next chief ministerial candidate of BJP.

Laxmikant Bajpai

BJP state president Laxmikant Bajpai has sent a written complaint to Lucknow Senior Superintendent of Police demanding to identify the person or people who have created a page on social Facebook titled -’Laxmikant Bajpai for CM Uttar Pradesh’.

The Facebook account in question projects Bajpai as next chief ministerial candidate of BJP. In the complaint letter, Bajpai has stated that he has no connection with the said Facebook page or any content posted on its wall.

In a recent trend, several Facebook accounts have come up promoting different BJP leaders as probable chief ministerial candidates from Uttar Pradesh.

They include  party national president Amit Shah, Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s son and general secretary Pankaj Singh, Sultanpur MP Varun Gandhi, Gorakhpur MP Yogi Adityanath and former CM Kalyan Singh’s son Rajveer Singh. However, so far only Bajpai has objected to such account, claiming it to be a “fake” and demanding action against the “culprit”.
