Graft accused granted bail

A special CBI court on Friday granted bail to two people,accused of demanding a bribe of Rs 10,000 to renew the revolver license of a Muktsar resident.

A special CBI court on Friday granted bail to two people,accused of demanding a bribe of Rs 10,000 to renew the revolver license of a Muktsar resident. Special CBI judge Vimal Kumar granted bail to Tejbir Singh Walia and Khushaal Singh and directed them to sign a bail bond of Rs 30,000 each. While Walia was working as a superintendent in the home department at the Punjab Mini-Secretariat,Singh was employed as a clerk in the SDM office. The case will now come up for resumed hearing on September 24.
