Anuradha Bali alias Fiza,the estranged wife of former Haryana deputy chief minister Chandermohan alias Chand Mohammad,was on Thursday arrested by Mohali Police on charges of house-trespass,wrongful restraint and voluntarily causing hurt. Later,she was produced in a court which sent her in judicial custody as police did not seek her remand.
The case pertains to a clash between Fiza and her neighbour Sanjay Aggarwal in January this year in Sector 48. The case relates to restricting children from playing in ground near Fizas house. Both parties were injured in the clash that followed heated arguments between them. Fiza suffered injuries on her head and was admitted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH-32) while Sanjay,his wife and three children were also injured in the clash and admitted to Civil Hospital,Phase VI,Mohali.
Appearing in the court,Fiza termed the allegations against her baseless. She accused the complainant of framing her with the help of Mohali Police. Addressing the media outside the court,she alleged,I was the one seriously injured in the attack and had spent time in the ICU. Despite my house being ransacked,I am the one being arrested by the police.
However,the police claimed that Fiza was arrested in relation to a case registered against her.
