Railway track maintenance work: Traffic curbs in Ahmedabad from today

The Indian Red Cross Society in Ahmedabad will host 'Waves of Kindness - A Movement for Humanity' walk event on November 16.

The Ahmedabad Division of Western Railway (WR) will take up track maintenance work at the Gandhigram crossing no.21, on November 16 between 8 am and 6 pm; on Sarkhej-Makarba crossing no.24, on November 17 between 8 am and 6 pm; and Sarkhej-Anandnagar crossing no.28 on November 18 between 8 am and 6 pm.

Thus, all three crossings will be closed for vehicular traffic on all three days. The Ahmedabad City Traffic Police, in a notification on Saturday, urged people to use the service roads on the sides of these crossings.

Waves of Kindness Walk
The Indian Red Cross Society in Ahmedabad will host ‘Waves of Kindness – A Movement for Humanity’ walk event on November 16. The walk will be held from Bajrang crossroads on Sindhubhavan Road to Fun Blast near gotila garden. One side of the road will be thus closed for vehicular traffic from 2 pm onwards till the event concludes.
The police notification said that the other side of the road between the Taj Hotel on SP Ring Road and till Pakwan crossroads on SG highway will be used for two-way traffic for the duration of the walk.

Sardar Sanman Yatra
From 8 am to 2 pm, a ‘Sardar Sanman Yatra’ will be organised on November 16 from Viratnagar fuvara circle to the Khodiyar temple on 80 feet road to kothiya hospital to uttamnagar canal to mangal pandey hall to damru circle to Navrangpura school to Shemol mata mandir in Odhav.

Road closures, diversions

* Between Viratnagar crossroads till Ring Road.

Alternative route: Go from Viratnagar crossroads to Soni Ni Chali and from there, access the Ring Road.

* From Thakkarnagar bridge to Khodiyar temple in Nikol

Alternative route: From Thakkarnagar, go to Gopal Chowk to Bahuchar Chowk and towards Khodiyar temple.

* Khodiyar temple crossroads to Thakkarnagar bridge.

Alternative route: Can go from the temple to Bahuchar Chowk to Gopal Chowk and then on to Thakkarnagar.

From Manmohan crossroads to Viratnagar

Alternative route: Vehicles can go from Manmohan crossroads to the Khodiyar temple to Bahuchar Chowk to Gopal Chowk and then to Viratnagar.
