PV Sindhu Wins Silver At Rio Olympics 2016

PV Sindhu became India’s first woman to win an Olympics silver medal on Friday, creating history with a stunning display of talent, power and grace.
Tenth in the global rank, ace shuttler Sindhu lost to the world champion Spain's Carolina Marin with 21-19, 12-21, 15-21 in a game that lasted for 83 minutes. Sindhu stayed in the game without rolling over, as Marin’s opponents have tended to, under her blistering attack of strokes and screams. The Hyderabad champion had taken Indian badminton, the country’s high-performing sport for a while now, a notch higher. The star shuttler along with her coach Pulllela Gopichand will return to India on Monday. The duo will be welcomed at the Hyderabad airport from where they will head to Gachibowli stadium where Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments will be felicitating the silver medalist.
