
Sundar Pichai is the new Google CEO. Here is all you need to know about him.
Sundar Pichai was born in 1972 and grew up in Chennai. An IIT Kharagpur alumnus, he later attended Stanford for MS and Wharton for his MBA.
Pichai joined Google in 2004 and was the driving force behind Google Chrome browser and the Chrome OS. He started the Google search tool bar when IE was the dominant browser.
Sundar Pichai's team launched the Google Chrome browser in 2008.
In 2011, Pichai was promoted to Senior VP and also took charge of Gmail and Google Docs.
Sundar Pichai was made Android head in 2013, and later in 2014, the Google Product Czar.
According to various reports, Pichai is seen as Larry Page's right-hand man and even accompanied him when Google tried to acquire Nest. (Image source: AP)
